Job SummarySeeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in Data Center Facility Management (FM) to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of critical electrical infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical System Maintenance & OperationsManage and maintain critical electrical systems, including:Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Switchgear, Transformers, and UPS systems.Backup generators (Diesel, Gas, Battery Storage) and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).Grounding, Surge Protection, and Fault Current Protection systems.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical infrastructure.Monitor power quality, load balancing, and energy efficiency using DCIM tools.Emergency Response & TroubleshootingAct as first responder for electrical failures, outages, and alarms.Diagnose and resolve issues with HV/LV systems, breaker trips, and generator failures.Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical incidents and implement corrective actions.
QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years in data center/critical facility electrical systems (UPS, generators, HV distribution).Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment (multimeters, thermal cameras, power analyzers).Certifications (Preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) License, Certified Data Center Energy Professional (CDCEP), or equivalent.OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or High Voltage Safety Certifications.Technical SkillsElectrical Systems:AC/DC Power Distribution (480V/208V/120V).Generators (Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler), UPS (Eaton, Vertiv, APC), and ATS.Grounding/Bonding, Fault Current Analysis, and Harmonic Mitigation.Monitoring & Controls: DCIMSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving under pressure (emergency response experience).Ability to interpret electrical schematics.Excellent communication for cross-team collaboration.
