We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering to lead our engineering department, focusing on solid dose and sterile manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical engineering, with proven expertise in managing engineering teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and manage the engineering team to support solid dose and sterile manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the design, installation, qualification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Collaborate with, Quality, Production, HSE, and Regulatory teams to ensure engineering solutions meet project and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets, capital projects, and resource planning for engineering activities.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with GMP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices in pharmaceutical engineering.
- University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with significant experience in solid dose and sterile production.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, EMA regulations, and quality standards.
- Experience with equipment calibration, validation, and maintenance programs.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with automation and digitalization in manufacturing.
- Prior experience in managing capital projects and facility upgrades.
- Certifications in project management or engineering disciplines.
- Fluent: Arabic, French and English.
